Retiring The Flag


‘In America, No One Should Go Hungry’ is more than a campaign theme (quick shout out to Mark for the awesome posters), but a heartfelt promise among our employees.  Given the increased need for donations, due to the recent cut in food stamps as well as the closing of the Dominick’s, a major grocery chain in Illinois and a huge partner in fighting hunger with our local food banks, everyone at GPS felt the urgency to contribute.

The Mo Champion

Our contestants narrowed the field to twenty hardy competitors willing to grow their whiskers. Unbound creativity was on display—from a mysterious question mark Mo and goatee, “How long will I keep my Mo this way—that is the question!” to a cancer ribbon, various geometric shapes, as well as several artful homage ‘stashes to the Village People and President Grover Cleveland.  After a week of voting, our Movember winner of the Mo Contest was announced with great fan-fare via a corporate-wide email blast.

The GPS 2013 Annual Meeting Was Educational & Fun!

GPS employees had flown in from throughout the U.S. to learn the most up-to-date information about the newest Federal regulations and tax changes facing our business clients as well as to discuss best practices at our 2013 Annual Meeting.

President Tyler Burgess opened the event by sharing a personal story about a close friend that had fought, achieved remission, but then lost the battle with cancer.  He then announced that our on-going corporate fundraising for the fight against cancer as well as numerous other charities had reached a total of over 2.5 million dollars as of 2013.
