When the GPS analyst and consultant arrived, “we began diagramming ‘where we are’ and ‘where we need to be.’ This brainstorming session, which I didn’t fully understand in the beginning, would soon become our recipe for success and profitability.”

After their analyst left, their consultant stayed on to provide the direction for the tactics to be employed, “analyzing the fundamentals of our business and targeting the sources of pain and bleeding. Given the magnitude of the task at hand, he started with the most immediate pain point, financials.

He quickly worked with my wife and I in order to develop a cash management system, budgeting, labor burden, and sales trend analysis—to name a few of the projects. His years of business experience really come to light as we tore down wall-by-wall of our fragmented accounting process and slowly replaced it with new tools and procedures that, plainly, just made so much more sense!

As we moved to the operations side of the business, he helped us realize the breakdown in management within the service and sales areas. Through implementing time tracking and scheduling into our vehicle workflow, we arrived at a clear indicator that our service manager had to go, as improvement just wasn’t being made. Our consultant helped us drill down into the qualities that we really needed from a service manager and then assisted during the interviewing and successful onboarding of our new employee, who is working out well, so far.”

Result

“I can’t even begin to express how appreciative my wife and I are for the time that our consultant spent with us these past eight weeks. While we both know that we have a lot of hard work ahead of us, we now feel empowered that the decisions we make and the action that we take will be many educated years ahead of what we had prior to our engagement with GPS.” Ryan, CEO

GPS Reviews: Shaking Up The Status Quo

Carrie Ann Green

GPS Reviews

Cash Flow

Cash Management

Financial Reporting

Incentive Plan

Marketing Plan

Procurement

Situation

The owners of a commercial flooring company were dealing with a low margin, which resulted in cash flow issues. “Prior to GPS, the cash flow volatility created great stress for me and Joe.
