GPS Reviews: Growth Had Stagnated

GPS Consulting Revved Up Growth for this Auto Repair Business

Situation

The owner of an auto repair business hired GPS to assist in making the changes to rev back up steady growth. “I had started in 1991 as a one man operation. Now, this facility employs 28 people and repairs 2,500 cars a year. It had grown, exponentially, until about six years ago, when it pretty much has remained the same.”

Process

“What I needed next, to continue growing, was exactly what GPS had to offer–the tools on how to run a business and not just how to fix cars.

That is exactly what I received from GPS and I

Waiting for Santa…

Santa has finally arrived and, boy, do we have cookies for Santa!

The GPS Holiday Cookie Exchange Party was a festive gathering. Tons of creativity was on display from office decorations to a miniature Santa and his Sleigh centerpiece (an awesome job by Deb). We also enjoyed Hot Chocolate Cupcakes, Santa Hats, Powered Donut Snowmen, and a Cornflake Holiday Wreath, among many other sweet treats. Everyone had the opportunity to sample cookies and share recipes!

“May I offer you a cup of Hot Chocolate?”

GPS Reviews: The Business Now Has Direction

Situation

The client brought in GPS to assist with expanding his relatively new automotive dent/hail damage repair business. “I don’t have a college background, so that going through this process was a necessity for my growing company.”

Process

Financial and management systems were implemented along with processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

The GPS consultant was, obviously, very intelligent, but he was able to explain things in a way that everyone could understand.”

I have learned about profit and loss statements and balance sheets. I have also learned about staying compliant in the eyes of the IRS.

Merry Christmas From GPS!

Our Buffalo mascot is dressed for the season (he also can be found sporting a ‘stash for Movember)!  Wishing all our employees, families, friends, partners and clients a very merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year!…

Poinsettias Bring Holiday Cheer!

After Thanksgiving, it’s a tradition to have poinsettias delivered to every department, decorating our common areas and desks throughout GPS. This year, 90 plants were ordered. Ken loaded the office cart and made the multiple trips required to distribute the traditional Christmas red plants to many happy recipients.

Isn’t this the healthiest looking one year old Poinsettia that you’ve ever seen?

Not only do our employees enjoy the poinsettias over the holiday season, but a few have managed to keep their plants alive until next year’s replacement arrives (no luck with making any of these plants re-bloom, although it …

Situation

Husband and wife owners of drug, alcohol, and paternity testing service with three locations, hired GPS for a strategic planning project “concerning our lives, business and future.”

Process

“What an awesome journey,’ shared the wife. “We have looked at the good, the bad, and the ugly. Our GPS consultant has helped us with the ugly, making sure that we realized that it was not all our fault. This means the world to us, because we wanted to take the blame for all of it. You helped us to understand that it doesn’t matter, we just go forward from here

Taking Our Food Drive To New Heights!

Sears? Willis? Nope, it’s the ‘Cereal’ Tower!

Inspired by canstruction, we built our own sculpture to launch our annual Food Drive at GPS. Last year, we featured the American flag, which is pretty hard to top, both thematically and design-wise, but we finally arrived at our Cereal Tower concept (based on a famous Chicago skyscraper, one of the tallest buildings in the world).

Thinking Inside the Box!

Cans are a terrific way to package non-perishable food, but we experienced some issues with stability when building using cans. Going higher wasn’t possible without some sort of infrastructure not made …

GPS Reviews: I Have My Excitement Back

GPS Reviews - Created a Business Plan for Small Business Owner to Boost Profits

Situation

The owner of a RV dealership was contacted by GPS “and asked if they could take a look at our business to see if we could be more profitable. I have to admit that I was a little reluctant about someone coming into my business, which I have lived for the past 40 years, and tell me what I could do to make more money.

I did know that we were not taking full advantage of the opportunities that were blessing our family business. I was ready to call it quits, I had been working 12 or 13 hours

We Supported Miss Wadsworth’s Team For NephCure!

Martha’s daughter Emily was diagnosed with a disease of the kidneys in December 2011. She has experienced many complications and numerous hospitalizations. At this time, there is no cure. As the current Miss Wadsworth, Emily led a team at the NephCure Walk to fund further research towards discovering new treatments and, hopefully, a cure.

GPS Reviews: Leading Us To Victory

Situation

Client in the trucking/freight/warehouse logistics industry “started the journey with GPS,” to position the company for future growth.

Process

“At the time, I had reservations with the time commitment, other people in my office, and the project cost. My concern was that I was already drowning in my business, how would I ever have the time to take this on? I’m sure that these feelings are mutual with other clients, however, my feelings were put to bed during the consulting process.”

The GPS analyst and consultant “worked very diligently, the first couple days, analyzing the business and our practice.
